Thai Tsunami Survivors Get Donated Clothes From BSP
By Laila Rahman

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd (BSP) yesterday handed over 45 boxes of clothing for Thai tsunami victims to the Royal Thai Embassy in Kampong Bunut.

Haji Zaini Haji Awang Omar, BSP Acting Human Resources and External Affairs Director, who was accompanied by members of BSP Graduate Committee (COSMIC Link), presented the donation to Sornslip Polteja, the Ambassador of Thailand.

The Thai ambassador thanked the people of Brunei for their generosity in contributing aid to Thai victims of the tsunami disaster.

He said the Thai government is rebuilding the infrastructure destroyed by the tidal waves.

He added that his main concern was the children affected by the disaster.

Haji Zaini said as Brunei and Thailand are part of ASEA, the people of the Sultanate also felt the sadness and the difficulties faced by the tsunami victims.

He hoped that the contribution would ease their burden. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
