Fisheries Issues Red Tide Alert

Bandar Seri Begawan - The concentration of the red tide organisms was found to be high in Brunei waters following continuous monitoring by the Fisheries Department, RTB reported.

It was found that the waters off Pelong, Pelumpong to Meragang, Beralcas and Jerudong, Lubuk Simpur, Serasa, Ujung Sapuh, Pulau Bedukang and Pulau Keingaran are affected by the phenomenon.

The public are again reminded to abstain from consuming small fish and molluscan shellfish from the affected waters or of unknown origin, RTB said.
