Court Adjourns Rape Case To April 13

Bandar Seri Begawan - The High Court yesterday adjourned the case of a 56-year-old grandfather who earlier pleaded guilty to three counts of raping his granddaughter and to two charges of attempting to commit rape on his other granddaughter to April 13.

The defendant pleaded guilty to committing rape on his 13-year-old granddaughter sometime in 2002 and admitted to committing the same offence when the victim was 14 and 15 years old.

The defendant also admitted to trying to rape the victim's sister sometime early in the month of March 2004 and again at the end of March 2004 when she was 13-years old.

All five offences were committed at a house in Kampong Perpindahan Rimba, Gadong.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
