Waterproofing System Course Going
On At Training Centre

Begawan - A course on `Integral Crystalline Concrete
Waterproofing System' is currently being held at the Training Centre,
Ministry of Development.
The four-day course , which commenced
yesterday, is being conducted by Mr Alain Lok, Asia-Pacific Executive
Manager, from Canada.
More than 30 people comprising of
government officials, consultants and architects are attending it.
There would be another session for
local Bumiputera contractors.
Mr
Lok explained that the self-sealing water-proofing system makes
concrete a powerful water-resistant barrier.
According to the organiser, Aman
Setia, the new waterproofing system, would help and assist authorities
lower the cost of maintenance.
Once locals have been trained to be
skilled applicators, it could reduce the dependency of foreign
labourers in this field, they added.
Among the topics that would be
discussed during the four-day seminar are `Introduction to Integral
Crystalline Concrete Waterproofing', `About Concrete', `Methods of
Testing', `Quality Assurances', 'Material Calculation', `Application'
and `Product Range'. --
