Arabic School Holds Computer Workshop

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Arabic Religious Secondary School for Girls (SUAMPRIPAD) yesterday opened a three-day computer workshop at the school's premises.

Organised by the Mathematics Department, the workshop is attended by 16 teachers from various departments as part of its staff development programme.

Madam Ng, Mathematics Department Head, conducted the training.

Prior to the workshop, a survey was carried out to assess their computing levels. Hands-on experience is the main emphasis in the training, with a vast majority of time dedicated to applications.

Among the hands-on activities during yesterday's training was "rotating computers", where each teacher was asked to draw a picture that represented his or her hobby.

Five minutes later, he had to swap computers with a fellow teacher and attempt to guess what the previous participant's plan was and continue the drawing. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
