Bandar Seri Begawan - A group of 50 on 12 four-wheel drive vehicles took off yesterday for Mulu, Sarawak on a four-day expedition until March 25.

The expedition, organised by the Tutong District 4x4 Society, was flagged off from the compound of the Tutong District building by Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Tutong District Officer.

The expedition is a yearly activity of the society and aims to foster friendship between Brunei and Malaysia.

Awang Shaari bin Hj Zunaidi, vice president, said that the expedition also aimed to have a closer look at the culture and daily life in the remote communities along the way.

The expedition heads for Miri and will stay for one night at Long Padian before continuing the journey to the Mulu National Park the next morning, he said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
