Royalty At Charity Netball Tournament

Bandar Seri Begawan - HRH Paduka Seri Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah watched the RBA Charity Netball tournament in which Jade I emerged as the champions after they defeated Blunettes 10-8 in a thrilling final at the National Indoor Stadium yesterday.

Third place went to PCT 11.

A total of 21 teams competed in the three-day tournament that started last Friday in aid of the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund.

Her Royal Highness, who was guest of honour, presented a cheque for $2,100, the proceeds of the tournament to Datin Hajah Adinah bte Haji Othman, the Director of Community Development at Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, who received it on behalf of the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund Committee.

HRH Paduka Seri Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah also presented the prizes to all the winners.

Among those present to watch the tournament were the spouses of RBA Board of Directors, management and staff.

The teams were divided into four groups: Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D. Group A comprised Fusion II, Phoenix NC, PCT II, Blizzaard, D'Bratz and Blunettes. Group B consisted of Stargazers, Jade I, Mixed Generation, SVNR NBT and Dragonfly. PCT I, Bakti, PDS, Net Seven and SIBS were in Group C. RBA Juniors, Jade II, Fusion, IBB and Quizotic Lovz were in Group D.
