Tasamul Roadshow In Kuala Belait

A Tasamul roadshow to mark a meeting with Mukim Lumapas Berhad
Tasamul Co-operative (KTMLB) was held yesterday afternoon at the Kuala
Belait Municipal Hall.
The meeting was held to award
certificates of shares to members, provide latest information on
TASAMUL, and listen to problems and suggestions and to increase its
membership. The cooperative has 2,152 members.
The Chairman of the KTMLB Board of
Directors, Hj Abdul Hakip bin Hj Burnt, spoke on the development of
its members and their responsibilities. He also presented certificates
of shares to members.
The KTMLB general manager discussed
objectives, operation, business activities, planning, membership and
members' benefits.
He said the KTMLB vision is to strive
as the biggest cooperative and meet the increasing demand of the
social economy. Its source of finance is through shares, savings,
permanent savings and bank loan.
Benefits of becoming a member include
getting involved in the business environment, dividend repayment
towards shares and savings, high return towards permanent savings,
discount opportunity from KTMLB businesses, convenience to obtain
personal loan and credit purchase, and easy payment through salary
deduction.
KTMLB's
current business activities include
TASAMUL
shares, TASAMUL Credit, TASAMUL petrol kiosk station, TASAMUL
mini-mart, TASAMUL transport services, TASAMUL rental services,
TASAMUL insurance agency and TASAMUL SMAS Travel Sdn Bhd investment.
Members are required to buy a minimum
20 share units at $1,000 and join a 100 months minimum savings scheme
at $50 per month. Members should also be Brunei citizens, and 18 years
and above. --
