Teachers Take Braille Exam
By Izam S. Ya'akub
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Twelve teachers are taking a Braille exam organised
by the Special Education Unit to prepare them to teach visually
impaired students.
The teachers, one from Temburong, two
each from Tutong and Belait districts and the rest from Brunei Muara,
began taking the assessment last Monday, March 14. It continues for 10
days.
Adopting an open book exam format,
the teachers will transcribe Braille to print and vice-versa. Accuracy
is most important.
Their work shall be scrutinised and
every error incurs a penalty, as errors resulting from a Perkins
Brailler cannot be concealed. --
