Women Attend Ta'lim Meeting

Begawan - Members of women's associations in the country
gathered for the second time for a meeting on Ta'lim programme at the
Dakwah Islamiah Centre recently.
Hajah
Zasia bte Sirin, the centre's director headed the group gathering.
In her speech, Hajah Zasia said the
objectives of the meeting were to exchange ideas on Ta'lim and to
discuss which topics need to be incorporated into the programme.
She added that the Ta'lim programme
is aimed at upgrading the Islamic teachings for members of women's
associations in the country so they can be more confident in
implementing routine religious activities, while informing them of
their rights based on the Islamic law.
Among the topics that will be
introduced are "Solar Sunat", "Jama", "Qasar", "Masbuq", "Muafiq", and
"Aqidah".
Women's associations that are
currently listed for the Ta'lim programme are: Persatuan Bakanita,
Persatuan Bistari, Persatuan Bakti, Persatuan PGGMB, Persatuan IWC,
Persatuan Pandu Puteri, Persatuan Perganita, Persatuan Pertiwi,
Persatuan WI, Persatuan Penjuru, Persatuan Pekerti, Persatuan Biro
Wanita Kampong Kapok, Persatuan Wanita Muslimah Kampong Bunut,
Persatuan Biro Wanita Kampong Batong, and Persatuan Brunei Shell.
The programme, organised by the Women
Guidance Unit, Women Guidance and Course of Dakwah Islamiah Centre, is
one of the measures taken by the centre to extent the knowledge of "Fardhu
Ain" as a Muslim. --
