Briefing For Volunteer Firemen In Lambak Kanan

Bandar Seri Begawan - A briefing was held for volunteer firemen of Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Mukim Berakas `B' fire station at the Training Centre, Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan fire station recently.

Among those who attended were the Haji Ismail, Penghulu of Mukim Berakas `B', senior officers and staff from the Fire Services Department as well as the volunteer firemen.

The volunteer firemen service was established earlier this year.

Among their objectives are to provide assistance to the Fire Services Department in case of any natural disasters, emergencies and in community services.

In addition, it is also to enhance relationships between the Fire Services Department with the village community.

It is hoped that more projects will be held to increase the spirit of teamwork. It is also hoped that more will come forward to assist as volunteer firemen. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
