SMPJNPHAB Holds Academic Awarding Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar held an Academic and ECA Award Presentation ceremony recently in conjunction with its 18th anniversary.

The event began with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the school's song, a recital of the surah Al-Fatihah.

Mrs. Yong Poh Lian, the Acting Principal,.delivered the welcoming speech.

Performances by the students were also seen during the ceremony.

One of the objectives of holding the prize presentation ceremony was to show appreciation to the deserving students, who have worked hard to achieve good grades, and to motivate others to strive for academic excellence.

Some 100 students received awards and prizes for outstanding academic achievements.

Among them is Charlene Bong who scored nine As and one B in the BGCE `O' Level examination 2004.

Prizes were also given out to students who have done well in sports and ECA.
