Pakistanis In Brunei To Mark 65th National Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Pakistan High Commission in Brunei announced yesterday its national day reception will be held March 29 and not as announced earlier.

In conjunction with the 65th anniversary celebrations of the Pakistan Day, it is holding a flag-hoisting ceremony on Wednesday, March 23, at 9am at the Chancery at House No. 10, Spg 350, Kg. Sg. Akar.

Mr. Badr-ud-Deen, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, will hoist the flag accompanied by the national anthem.

Messages of the President and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan will be read to Pakistani nationals living in the country.

A Doa Selamat will follow.

The Pakistan High Commission in collaboration with Pakistan Women Association will organise an open bazaar on Sunday, March 27, between 3pm-6.30pm at the Chancery, to celebrate Pakistan Day.

All Pakistani nationals in Brunei, their wives and children are invited to attend the flag-hoisting and family programme. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
