Two new appointments at NCCIBD
By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Hj
Ismail, the Vice President and acting Secretary General of NCCIBD.
The National Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD) announced that Hj Razali bin Hj
Johari has been appointed to be its acting president in an attempt to
accelerate development in commerce and industry in the country.
Hj
Razali, a respected businessman, is also the president of Brunei Malay
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI), a leading organisation that
unites local Malay businessmen under one umbrella.
The restructuring also resulted in
Vice President, Hj Ismail Hj Damit, holding the post of Secretary
General.
Other posts in the organisation
remain unchanged.
No reason was cited as to why the
restructuring is necessary. A few years ago, NCCIBD also received a
bombshell when its president, Sheikh Abas Sheikh Mohammad resigned
causing a buzz at local business scene.
Meanwhile, Hj Ismail said NCCIBD will
continue to be a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Asean CCI).
