Locals Bound For Labuan Jet Sport
Challenge

Begawan - Dean Racing Team is set to participate in the Labuan
Jetsport Challenge 2005.

Dato Seri Paduka Hj Marsal¸ team captain, promises that his boys will
try their best to win in a few events and to bring honour to the
nation.
Zainuddin
told the Bulletin yesterday that his team will be represented by three
participants: himself, Baharuddin Zainuddin and Amirul_ Hj Sanip.
"Amirul and I will participate in the
800 cc while Baharuddin in the 1,200 cc class. We will take part in
all events namely Roundabout 1200, Roundabout 800, Dash for Cash, 1200
Rider, 800 Rider, 1200 Crew and 800 Crew," he said.
He said this while receiving two
officers from the Labuan Tourism Action Council; Rusilawati Kamarudin
and Malai Hashim Malai Hassan at Happy Dean Restaurant in Berakas.
Rusilawati
said the team must be in Labuan by April 15 where they need to
register, and undergo briefing and safety inspections.
The event is to take place on April
16 and 17 at the waterfront of the Labuan International Sea Sports
Challenge.
"Apart from two teams from Brunei,
other participants include teams from Labuan, Sabah. Miri, Kuching,
Petronas from West Malaysia, as well as from Perak and Selangor," she
said.
The team's biggest obstacle in the
race will definitely come from the Petronas teams of West Malaysia
said Zainuddin.
These events are able to take place
annually, thanks to the support and sponsors from the private sector.
