Professional Training For Teachers

Bandar Seri Begawan - St James School and Chung Ching Middle School recently joined hands in providing professional training to teachers.

The first session unfolded at St James School on March 16. The first activity had kindergarten and lower primary teachers role-playing motivational approaches to educating kids as well as injecting fun into learning.

Facilitating the fun-filled `neat conference' was Mylene Purisima, St James Kindergarten Teacher.

The second session was on the art of questioning. Mary Jean Festin of Chum, Ching Middle School delivered it.

Emphasis was placed on the inclusion of higher order thinking skills when questioning kids, and not just limiting the process to testing knowledge and comprehension.
