Brunei Invited To Labuan Sea
Challenge

Begawan - Two officers representing the Labuan Tourism Action
Council (LTAC) are on official visit in the Sultanate to invite
sporting teams here to participate in various races at the Labuan
International Sea Challenge 2005 to be held in Labuan from April 10 to
17.

Kamarudin, Promotions and Marketing Manager of LTAC, and Malai Hashim
Malai Hassan, an LTAC officer, told Weekend that they have visited
various Jet Ski and traditional boat teams from Brunei.
"Two teams from Brunei have confirmed
participation in the Labuan Jetsport Challenge 2005 as well as nine
teams in the Labuan Traditional Boat Race 2005," she said.
The LTAC officers arrived on Thursday
to distribute pamphlets and will be leaving for Labuan this evening.
Apart from Jet Ski and boat races,
locals will also participate in the Labuan International Fishing
Tournament 2005, Labuan Round Island Kayak Race 2005, and Cross
Channel Swimming Challenge 2005.
Locals were also invited to visit
Labuan to watch the exciting events.
"A beach carnival will take place on
April 10 at the waterfront where a number of exciting games have been
planned in Sukanika Pantai," they added. --
