ISB Students Join Fund Raising Drive
By Huraizah Ahmad

Bandar Seri Begawan - Students of the International School Brunei (ISB) participated in a fund raising event held at the school compound yesterday.

Entitled `Tsunami Fund Raising Day', the event brought together ISB students from Reception 1 to Year 6, parents, teachers and staff members to raise money for a good cause.

Other than food items and knick-knacks for sale, the event also included fun and games and other activities, a Playstation area, a nail arts station, and more.

The event was organised by the primary student council of ISB.

Mrs Suzie Track, teacher coordinator of the student council, commented, "it is wonderful to see the children actively involved in fund raising to help the less fortunate."

Mr Nathan, the Primary Principal of ISB, said that all the money collected from the event will be directed towards the `Room to Read Charity'.

This is actively rebuilding schools in areas devastated by the Tsunami disaster.

He also expressed his appreciation to parents for their support and to Britmart for proving bouncy castles as well as donations from Supa Save and Hua Ho towards supporting the charity event. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
