BLNG Donates Its Fire Engine To
Jefri Bolkiah College
Kuala Belait –
The Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas yesterday morning handed over
a used fire engine to the Jefri Bolkiah College of Engineering for the
practical use of its students in a ceremony that took place at the
college.
The donation marked the continued
support of private firms in the development of technical education in
the country.
The vehicle, a Mercedes Benz model,
has been in use by the BLNG since 1983. It has recorded a mileage of
7,260kilometres.
The vehicle has also undergone
routine maintenance and inspection at the BLNG.
During the handing over ceremony,
Awang Haji Yusof bin Taufik, the Special Advisor of Health of the BLNG,
representing the company in his speech said that the handing over of
the vehicle is in line with the company's aspiration to support
sustainable development.
It also demonstrated the company’s
social obligation to the community in the country, including in the
field of education and human resource development.
The key replica was handed over Awang
Haji Mohammad Said bin Ahmad, the Acting Managing Director of LNG, to
Awang Ibrahim bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the Acting Principal of the
