By Achong Tanjong

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 200 Rotarians from 24 Rotary Clubs of Borneo, along with their families, will be in the country to participate in the 18th Pan Borneo Inter Club Meet from March 18-20.

The Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan hosted the event.

Yong Teck Chin, President of BSB Rotary Club, said the upcoming event will be the first Pan Borneo Inter Club meeting that is especially devoted to Rotary families.

This event is held every year either in Borneo or Labuan with an objective to foster closer relationship among Rotarians.

The official launch of the meet will be held at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong on March 19.

A golf tournament will also be held on March 18, followed by a welcoming dinner at the hotel.

During the meet, the key to a $35,000 workshop will be handed to Pusat Ehsan.

The building was constructed by the Rotary Club as part of its community project to help individuals with special needs at the centre.

The main objective of the Rotary Club is to provide services to the community and workplace. Rotary volunteers build goodwill and peace, provide humanitarian services, and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
