55 Students Vie For Second Round Of Science Olympiad 2005

Bandar Seri Begawan - Fifty-five Primary Six students from government and private schools throughout the nation sat for a second round of the Science Olympiad 2005 at Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan in Kg Rimba.

They were selected among 264 participants from 89 of Brunei's academic institutions.

The Primary School Science Olympiad (PSSO) 2005 is an annual competition organised by the Science, Technology and Environment Partnership Centre from the Ministry of Education in cooperation with Brunei Shell Petroleum.

Only 15 will make it to the third round scheduled to take place on April 26 at Oil and Gas Discovery Centre.

The finals are expected to be held in the month of May or June, which will see six students battling it out to be the best in the country. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
