Sekolah
Menengah Sayyidina Hasan in Kg Kilanas has rewarded its students for
performing well in the 2004 public exams. The guest of honour at the
recent presentation ceremony was CEA of Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP)
Company, Hj Mohd Zaini Hj Omar.
Proud parents of prize recipients
were among those present at the Multipurpose Hall to witness the
joyous event, which also included a singing of the school song.
A total of six students had done very
well in last year's PMBs with two obtaining five distinctions, three
getting six distinctions and one achieving seven.
In the BCGCE 'N' Levels, six students
obtained a full seven 'N' Level passes and the passing percentage of
three to seven 'N' Levels was 88 per cent, the highest achievement so
far for the academic institution since the course was introduced.
In the 'O' Levels, the school has
created a new internal record, whereby 21 students obtained eight and
nine 'O' Levels compared to 11 students in 2003 and nine in 2002. Two
with special needs were also awarded for their achievements. Hj Mohd
Zaini congratulated them and gave some important advice.
The guest of honour touched on career
and scholarship opportunities with BSP. Capacity, Achievement and
Relationship (CAR) are characteristics that are sought when they want
to recruit new employees. BSP sponsored the prizes and subject
teachers also contributed generously.
