“Healthy Lifestyle” Helps Raise Tsunami Fund

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 200 people took part in a walkathon organised by the Services Campaign Operations Department (SCO) of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd at the Kuala Belait Recreational Club field yesterday morning.

The walkathon was part of the department's annual Healthy Lifestyle programme. Among the other activities organised for the one-day event was bicycling or riding motorcycles while wearing costumes.

For the first time, this year's Healthy Lifestyle programme involved members of the public collecting donations for the Belait District Tsunami Aid Fund.

The chairman of the programme, Awang Mohd Afiffin bin Mohd Rashidi, highlighted that all proceeds from a karaoke singing event, fun fair, car washes, rickshaw rides around KB town as well as rental fees for bazaar booths would be donated 100 per cent to the fund. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
