Brunei's TV Talent Show Takes A Break

Bandar Seri Begawan - The weekly 'Bakat Concert' will go for a `break' after a successful trial run last week, the Bakat Managing and Organising Team said yesterday.

Brunei's own reality TV talent show is re-strategising, refining and promising a more attractive and appealing upcoming show, it added.

The 'Bakat Concert' went live last Saturday night. Its associated 30-minute weekly show, `Hello Bakat', based on the students' daily activities, started hitting the airwaves from February 23, 2005.

The shows had received a positive response and generated great interest from the public. The project was proposed by Bakat managing team to RTB, which came as strategic partner.

It was agreed to do a set (weekly show and concert) of trial production. The trial run is now completed and the show is thus taking a break.

Time will now be spent to re-strategise and refine the programme, based on the comments, feedbacks and learning that have been experienced.

A revised structure will evolve with more attractive and appealing show.

The SMS voting will stop today.
