RBN win soccer friendlies

Three Japanese destroyers, the JDS
Hamayuki, Hatsuyuki and Itsoyuki departed from Muara Commercial Wharf
yesterday with visiting members of the Japanese Maritime Self Defence
Force (JMSDF).
During their 4-day stay in Brunei,
the crew opened their doors to the public.
On Thursday afternoon, members of the
JMSDF crew took part in two friendly football matches with their hosts
and counterparts at the Royal Brunei Navy's soccer grounds.
The Commander of 3rd Escort Division
JMSDF, Captain Masahiro Emi, Ambassador Yoshinobu Nisaka and Lt. Col
(L) Adanani bin Engin, Commanding Officer Training, RBN, were in
attendance of the matches.
Royal Brunei Navy won both matches
with scores of 3-1 and 2-0.
Yesterday, the members of Royal
Brunei Navy as well as the Japanese Embassy bade them farewell at the
Muara Commercial Wharf.
