The all-new Toyota HILUX.

NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd announced the arrival of the all-new HILUX four-wheel drive pickup recently. The new five-seater is available in double cab for the general public and also single cab version better suited for commercial use.

According to Mr Ninan Chacko, Managing Director of NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, Brunei will be among the first markets in South East Asia to receive the new HILUX.

"The new HILUX effectively fills gaps in our Toyota model line-up for our customers wanting a pickup that is stylish yet practical, large enough for family or business use, tough and powerful," he added.

The HILUX comes with a 16-valve 2.5 litre D-4D engine for the single cab or the 3.0 litre D-4D engine with intercooler for the double cab. Both are equipped with Toyota's refined five-speed manual transmission.

Previous HILUX models have already scooped various accolades for its capabilities and durability. It was awarded the 'Best Pickup' category in the 2003 Commercial Fleet World Honours in the United Kingdom.

The interior of the HILUX includes an array of features found in regular saloon car. Outside noises have been significantly reduced by the proper addition of noise damping material on the interior walls of the car.

Added to this are other important safety features that ensures driver and passenger safety well taken care of.
