Teachers Association Marks Hijrah

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Association of Religious Teachers Brunei III organised anew Hijrah year celebration yesterday at Dewan SHUTT, IPA.

The guest of honour was Ustazah Hjh Kasmah bte Hj Siput, Director of Islamic Study at the Ministry of Education.

Cikgu Haji Abd Aji bin Hj Ishak, senior JPI officers, head of divisions. PPID, deputy principals and principals attended.

The highlight was a special religious talk by Cikgu Hj Suhut bin Hj Sahat, a speaker from the Counselling Unit at the Ministry of Education.

This is the second year the association organised the new Hijrah celebration.

The event was also highlighted with a Tauseh performance from Al-Qariun.

The event aimed to see how far the concept of Hijrah has been learnt with the objective of improving the mindsets. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
