RBA donates $63,731 to tsunami disaster relief fund

Bandar Seri Begawan - Royal Brunei Airlines today handed over a cheque for BND 63,731 to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Minister’s office at Jalan Kebangsaan Lama.

The cheque was presented by Royal Brunei's Chairman, ang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Paduka Haji Hazair Abdullah to Pehin Otang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Paduka (Dr.) Haji Awang Hussain bin Pehin Orang Kaya Di-gadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Mohd Yusof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The donation was made up of collections from the RBA golf charity tournament, proceeds from online ticket sales as welt as staff donations. Brunei Shell Marketing contributed BND 5,000 to the online sales proceeds.

A spokesperson for RBA said, Royal Brunei Airlines is extremely supportive of the Government's initiatives for the aid relief and hope that our contribution will help ease the plight of the survivors"
