His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri
Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Sunday night consented to attend the
royal banquet to mark the installation and coronation of the 8th
Sultan of Selangor Darul Ehsan, RTB reported.
The banquet took place at the
Royal Banqueting Hall of Istana Alam Shah. Upon their arrival at
the Anjung Utama of Istana Alam Shah, His Majesty and Her
Majesty were greeted by HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the
Sultan of Selangor. Their Majesties were introduced to members
of the Selangor royal family and state dignitaries.
The banquet was also attended
by His Majesty Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong
of Malaysia and Her Majesty the Permaisuri Agong; the Acting
Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and
wife; other Malaysian rulers, federal cabinet ministers as well
as Selangor state dignitaries.
