Website Design Course Concludes

Bandar Seri Begawan - The "Basic Website Design Course" organised by Belia Proaktif 2 came to an end yesterday. The closing ceremony was held at the Teratai Hall, SEAMED Voctech.

A representative of the course participants, Awg Helmy Markaneh, said they believe the course would prepare them for a future in IT.

He said by sharing it with families and friends their newly acquired knowledge could create an IT-literate community.

Conductor of the course, Awg Hamdani Mustapa, said he felt proud of the participants' development during the course.

"The participants started with zero knowledge, but have proved to be productive and creative youths.

"The course achieved its objective of `Belia Celik IT', or IT-literate youths, and I am hopeful that the participants would make the most of their newly acquired knowledge in various endeavours, such as the IT industry or engaging in business," he added.

Present as the guest of honour was SEAMED Voctech ICT Acting Director, Awg Muhd Saiful Hj Omar. Also present at the ceremony was Deputy Chairman of Belia Proaktif 2, Dyg Filzah Hj Abd Khani.

The three-day course, which started on Tuesday, was a Belia Proaktif 2 project for those who had qualified to the third phase of B-@ktif competition, organised by the Youth and Sports Department of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
