‘Terminal Cinta’ Production Team Holds Thanksgiving Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - The production team of a joint-venture Brunei-Malaysia telemovie project held a thanksgiving ceremony last Tuesday night at the house of Pg Hjh Maskuin Pg Hj Ahmad, a veteran actress who is one of the project financiers.

The ceremony marked the commencement of filming the scenes ofthe telemovie entitled Terminal Cinta, the first project of Affiliation of Drama, Entertainment and Creative Artists (GAPHAR) and Film Directors Association of Malaysia (FDAM) which signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in Kuala Lumpur in May.

Also joining the ceremony were Brunei-born Malaysian artiste Mimi Rahzia and Farid as well as the production crew who arrived from Kuala Lumpur a few hours earlier.

Former Royal Brunei stewardess Mimi Rahzia whose family lives in Brunei was just too happy to come here, not only to help the local drama industry but as a chance to meet her relatives and friends.

The Malaysian stars met their local counterparts who were just too happy to receive and greet them.

The other Malaysian artiste starring in the telemovie, Intan Azura, arrived early yesterday morning via Miri, Sarawak as she missed Tuesday's evening flight to Brunei.

The telemovie director, Khir Mohd Noor, briefed the artistes and production crew on rules and regulations as they were about to begin filming.

Director Khir reminded the stars on the importance of coming to locations at the earliest possible time they have been asked to.

"Please make sure you come to the set on time as time means money for us. We need to complete the filming within 12 days so as not to incur extra costs," he said.

Khir said he would be here for at least a month as he will be directing the second telemovie of the project entitled Hamparan Madu Hempasan Hempedu soon after the end of Terminal Cinta.

He said a different set of artistes from Malaysia and Brunei will be the cast of the second telemovie. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
