Three Swim Records Broken

Begawan - More records were broken in the swimming meet of
the Pesta Sukan Kebangsaan yesterday with Maria Grace Koh breaking
two new national records and Siu Kent Chung adding another.
Maria Grace Koh clocked the 400m IM
in 5.46.28sec, smashing her old record of 5.52.29 set in Makassar.
Another record that went up in smoke was the 200m freestyle where
Maria Grace Koh shattered Felicia Lee's record of 2.26.54sec with a
new record of 2.26.49sec
Siu
Kent Chung smashed the 400m IM record of 5.37.33 held by Asmi bin
Hadzid in Makassar in 2006 with a new record of 5.28.16sec.
Overall, Brunei-Muara conquered the
swimming event yesterday by bagging 11 gold, seven silver and two
bronze.
Siu
Kent Chung of Brunei-Muara won gold by recording 1.00.35 sec in the
Boys 100m freestyle. Winning the silver medal was Asreel Hj Ahad of
Temburong in 1.04.28sec. Bronze went out to Samuel Wong C Siong of
Brunei-Muara, finishing in 1.05.88sec.
The girls 100m freestyle was topped
by record breaker Maria Grace Koh of Brunei-Muara in 1.06.67.Silver
was also bagged by Brunei-Muara through Anmah Liyani Hussin in
1.11.22sec. Finishing third was Joanna Glover of RBA in 1.15.10sec.
In the boys 400m individual medley,
Brunei-Muara snagged both gold and silver medals through Siu Kent
Chung and Azmi Abd Hadzid in 5.28.16sec and 5.46.71sec respectively.
Asreel Hj Ahad of Temburong settled with a bronze medal in
5.52.34sec.
In the girls 400m individual
medley, Brunei-Muara heroine Maria Graace Koh, remained undefeated
in 5.46.28sec. Another silver medal was won by Felicia Lee Li Ern of
Brunei-Muara in 6.08.16sec.
Falling behind with a bronze medal
was RBA contender Rachel Glover in 6.32.32sec.
Another Brnnei-Muara hero, Siu Kent
Chung, remained undefeated in the boys 200m freestyle. Callistus Tan
of RBA came second. Samuel Wong C Siong finished third.
Maria Grace Koh added another gold
to Brunei-Muara collection in the girls 200m freestyle. In second
place was Felicia Lee Li Ern from Brunei-Muara. Third place went out
to RBA through Rachel Glover.
Siu Kent Chung and Azmi Abd Hadzid
of Brunei-Muara overpowered Sport School Council's Mohd Fauzi Yossli
in the boys 200m breaststroke.
The girls 200m breaststroke was
topped by Maria Grace Koh of BruneiMuara. Silver bronze were grabbed
by RBA through Lim Jia Xia and Courtney Powell.
In the boys 10m fly and Girls 100m
fly, Brunei-Muara easily snagged gold and silver through Siu Kent
Chung, Adrian Lim Dian Yang, Maria Grace Koh and Felicia Lee Li Ern,
RBA settled for bronze in both event through Nicholas Young and
Rachel Glover.
In the boys 800m relay freestyle,
Brunei-Muara bagged another gold in 9.42.67. RBA in second finished
