School Holiday Travel Packages

Bandar Seri Begawan - Tours and travel agencies are expected to boost their ticket sales in conjunction with the 15-day second term school holidays from June 15 to 29.

Most travel agents are now busy promoting their school holiday packages with special rates to regional holiday destinations.

Freme Travel's head office at Riviera Hotel in Kuala Belait will organise Freme Holiday Travel Fair on June 7 from 8am-6pm and June 8 from l Oam to 6pm, offering customers a 10 per cent discount. Other travel agencies offer school holiday packages including free and easy Hong Kong packages and Hong Kong Disneyland.

The popular and favourite holiday destination among Bruneians is Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur). Others include Singapore and Indonesia, according to a travel agency staff in Gadong. Among Brunei Chinese, the top holiday destinations are China, Hong Kong and other Asian countries.

Meanwhile, school holiday programmes organised by CfBT include Young Leaders for ages 14 to 18; Speech and Drama Holiday Reading Programme to help students express themselves more fluently, clearly, think more creatively and imaginatively, improve communication and problem solving skills and help children with reading difficulties, for those from five to 11 years old.
