Telbru Launches New Telephone Directory

Bandar Seri Begawan - Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) yesterday launched its new Telephone Directory of Brunei Darussalam 2007/8 at its headquarters in Old Airport, Berakas in collaboration with GTE Directories (B) Sdn Bhd (GTE Yellow Pages).

On hand to officiate the ceremony was TelBru's Chairman, Dato Paduka Hj Othman'bin Hj Ya'akub. Also present were officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Pusat Ehsan, GTE Directories and TelBru.

"This year's cover design signifies the role of 1CT in our life and the colour represents the fun, vibrancy and excitement of the youthful generation in the `online' world," said Song Kin Koi, Managing Director of TelBru.

Yesterday's event was also highlighted with the presentation of prizes to 50 winners, who received food vouchers, courtesy of GTE Yellow Pages as part of GTE's on going campaign in promoting the new directory.

The general publics are encouraged to bring their old directories for recycling as recycling bins will be provided.

To commemorate the World Environment Day, launched recently by the Ministry of Development, TelBru and GTE have joined forces to continue their recycling campaign this year with Daikyo Environmental Recycling Sdn Bhd. All proceeds will be donated to Pusat Ehsan. According to TelBru, prior to the launching date, a radio quiz show was held simultaneously on two popular local radio stations - Pelangi and Pilihan networks.

The telephone directory is now available at all TelBru branches nationwide.
