Post Still Holds Its Own Against Internet Challenge

Bandar Seri Begawan - The postal services is still relevant despite facing stiff competition from modern day technology like e-mail and the mobile phone.

The Postmaster General Pengiran Haji Mohd Yakub said however the postal services would continue to enhance the quality of its services.

He said the postal services is taking on the challenge in other than improving the quality of services the department will also reduce cost.

Although the Internet and other communication technology are providing more convenient ways of communication there are still customers who prefer to communicate by mail.

He noted that every end of the month there are mails such as brochures, bills and credit cards being sent from banks through the post. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
