Wholesale shop ransacked

A wholesale shop in the Brunei/Muara district was ransacked on Monday. Cash amounting to $12,000 was stolen from the box. Other items included seven packets of cigarettes and food worth around $1,175.

The Immigration officials arrested two Bangladeshis who worked at the vegetable farm in Kg. Tanah Jambu on Monday for violating the immigration acts. They were Juel Abdul Bepary, 35 and Mukbul Hussain Late Rahman Matbar, 37.

Food items stolen at the Tamu Muhibah in Bangar town included five vans of Milo, three bottles of vegetable oils, five cans of coffee, 50 cans of milk, a pack of sugar worth $200. 

A Toyota Corolla, BH 2917, stolen from a premise in Jln Ong Sum Ping at 2.30pm on Monday was found four hours later at the garage in Block C, No. 15, Jln Tengah near the capital.

Another Toyota Corolla, BL 1851, stolen recently was found on Monday at Kg. Lumapas.

Two brothers were slightly injured when the car they were riding hit an electric-post near the Jerudong mosque. Supri Hj Tamit, 24, hurt his ear while Sharun Tamit 21 was hurt on his face and neck.
