Wasps Back In Action Tonight
By Dannie Abu Basrah
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Wasps will be back in action in the M. League
tonight at the Jabatan Belia and Sukan Field in Berakas when they take
on 8th place ATM for their 13th game of the season.
In their first meeting at the TLDM
Stadium in Lumut back in April, the Wasps beat the soldiers 2-0 from
two quick first half strikes in the 24th and 32nd minute by Fadlin
Galawat and Brian Iman Abdullah, respectively.
In the previous match, Brunei drew
1-1 with Johor FC on home ground while ATM won 2-1 away to PDRM at
Stadium Majlis Perbandaran Selayang Kuala Lumpur with both goals
scored by their leading goal scorer, Mohd Nazrie Akui, who has seven
goals to his credit so far.
Brunei currently in 6th position with
a game to play has the chance to overtake Kelantan TNB for 5th spot if
they win tonight's match.
The Wasps will be boosted with the
arrival of their new Brazilian-born striker, Silas Lebarato De Silva
who once wore the Brunei jersey back in the 2001 campaign.
But Hj Zainuddin Hj Kassim, Brunei
coach, said the Brazilian may not be fielded as he had just arrived on
Saturday. -- Courtesy of
