New Block For Tungku Primary
Pupils
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Primary Three pupils at the Tungku Primary School can
now study with more comfort with the completion of its new block.
The additional block is built due to
the shortage of school classrooms.
A total of 110 primary three pupils
are studying at the school.
To accommodate them, the school
authority has taken the initiative to place them temporarily at the
school's hall since 1999.
The hall is not only for the pupils
but also serves as the staff's room for 45 teachers.
Awang
Haji Ishak bin Haji Abdullah, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Education, yesterday handed the key to Awang Haji Sani bin
Haji Metassan, headmaster of the school.
Work on the additional block, which
started in December last year and was completed last month, cost more
than $234,000.
The new block will be used after the
second term school holiday. --
