Do Not Burden The Police Alone Says Minister

Bandar Seri Begawan – Everyone in the country should play a role in preventing and combating crime and not leave the task entirely to the security and law enforcement agencies.

This was stated by Pehin Dato Haji Adanan, the Acting Minister of Home Affairs, at the launching of the Crime Prevention Exhibition in conjunction with the 83rd Police Day Celebration yesterday.

Pehin Dato Haji Adanan said that people should not burden the security and enforcement agencies especially the Royal Brunei Police in ensuring peace and maintaining law and order.

Later, the Acting Minister of Home Affairs received the replica of the key for a mobile police vehicle contributed by Pehin Dato Awang Haji Abdul Hapidz, Chairman of Abdul Razak Holdings Sendirian Berhad.

He then gave the key to Dato Haji Abdul Rahman, the Commissioner of Police.

The three-day exhibition is aimed at giving an overall view of the crime situation in the country and instilling public confidence in the prevention of crime conducted by the relevant authorities.

The event displays the involvement of the Police Force in the four districts, as well as security and law agencies in the country.

It is open from 9am to 9pm at The Mall in Gadong. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
