By CT Hj Mahmod

AEMC sealing the deal with B.S Syscom (Brunei) Sdn.Bhd on the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the PMONet-IT Network Infrastructure, yesterday morning.

Yesterday marked a significant milestone for the Asean-EC Management Centre (AEMC) as the centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding with B.S. Syscom (Brunei) Sdn Bhd to improve its current administration system.

As the country is gearing towards electronic system of governance (e-government), this move by AEMC - under the umbrella of the Prime Minister's Office - is seen as part of the ongoing e-government implementation plan to modernise the administration of the government departments and ministries in the country.

Signing the agreement for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the PMONet-IT Network Infrastructure on behalf of AEMC was its Director, Mr Abd Ghani Pg Hj Metusin, while representing BS SYSCO (Brunei) Sdn Bhd was Operations Manager, Ms Ann Lim.

Witnessing the signing ceremony held at Irmas Room, AEMC Gadong, was both AEMC's Programme Manager, Pg Harun Pg Aliuddin and BS Syscom (Brunei) Sdn Bhd Account Manager, Darryn Liew.

AEMC's IT network infrastructure is part of the PMO data centre of the Prime Minister's Office. This project, expected to be completed in two months time, will be synchronised with the ongoing implementation of the PMONet-IT network infrastructure.
