AEMC signs MoU to implement
e-Government

AEMC
sealing the deal with B.S Syscom (Brunei) Sdn.Bhd on the Supply,
Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the PMONet-IT
Network Infrastructure, yesterday morning.
Yesterday marked a significant
milestone for the Asean-EC Management Centre (AEMC) as the centre
signed a Memorandum of Understanding with B.S. Syscom (Brunei) Sdn Bhd
to improve its current administration system.
As the country is gearing towards
electronic system of governance (e-government), this move by AEMC -
under the umbrella of the Prime Minister's Office - is seen as part of
the ongoing e-government implementation plan to modernise the
administration of the government departments and ministries in the
country.
Signing the agreement for the Supply,
Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the PMONet-IT
Network Infrastructure on behalf of AEMC was its Director, Mr Abd
Ghani Pg Hj Metusin, while representing BS SYSCO (Brunei) Sdn Bhd was
Operations Manager, Ms Ann Lim.
Witnessing the signing ceremony held
at Irmas Room, AEMC Gadong, was both AEMC's Programme Manager, Pg
Harun Pg Aliuddin and BS Syscom (Brunei) Sdn Bhd Account Manager,
Darryn Liew.
AEMC's
IT network infrastructure is part of the PMO data centre of the Prime
Minister's Office. This project, expected to be completed in two
months time, will be synchronised with the ongoing implementation of
the PMONet-IT network infrastructure.
