Paper On Challenges Of Islamic Studies To Be Presented In Indonesia

Bandar Seri Begawan - Koleg Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan has been invited by the Department Agama, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, Indonesia to present the country paper in the International Seminar IMT, which will be held on July 28 in Indonesia.

Dr Haji Abdullah bin Hj Awg Lampoh, the Deputy Ra'es Kolej Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) will present the paper entitled, "The Challenge of Islamic Studies: the Past, Present and Future in Brunei Darussalam".

He will be accompanied by Ustaz Hj Yahya bin Apong, Dekan Fakulti Pendidikan KUPU SB as a participant and both of them will be leaving on July 27.

The topic to be discussed on the paper will focus on the challenges of Islamic graduate students on finding jobs in Brunei Darussalam.

The challenge in the past was how to find Islamic graduate students to fill the job vacancy in Brunei Darussalam.

Presently, the challenge is finding jobs for Islamic graduate students, and in the future, the challenge will be similar as the present challenge but it is going to be more intense. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
