Immigration Check Ahead Of Tutong

Tutong
- Some 11 officers from the Immigration Law Enforcement
Section conducted another operation late Wednesday night.
Codenamed, Ops Pintas 104, the
raiding party targeted six locations focusing on areas around Pekan
Tutong and Kampung Bunut.
The immigration officers led by the
Assistant Director of Immigration at the Law Enforcement Section
apprehended a total of eight suspected offenders, including those
who had failed to produce any valid documentation.
The raid took place ahead of the
royal get-together in Pekan Tutong and also sought to flush out
immigration offenders during the celebration of the 62'd birthday of
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Meanwhile, a Filipino national
failed to produce valid documents and was found to have an expired
visit pass while staying in a rented house in Kampong Bunut.
A Vietnamese national was found to
have run away from her employer and her work pass revoked. She was
ordered to return to her country but apparently has failed to
comply.
Meanwhile, another Vietnamese
national is yet to produce valid documents.
An Indonesian national was also
found without valid documents.
