PPNBD Attends World Scout
Conference In Korea

Negara Brunei Darussalam (PPNBD) Hj Badar bin Hj Ali, and PPNBD
International Commissioner and Scout CEO Hj Matassim bin Hj Duraman
on Saturday left for the Republic of Korea to participate in the
38th World Scout Conference.

Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Raja Seri Paduka Hj Awg Mohd Ali bin Hj Awg
Md Daud, as well as the commissioners and officers of the Scout
Association.
The five-day conference, from July
1418, will be held at The International Convention Centre, Jeju
Island, Republic of Korea.
According to a PPNBD press release,
The World Scout Conference is one of the prominent events organised
by World Scout Bureau (WSB) and World Organisation of Scout Movement
(WOSM) in cooperation with the host country once every three years.
Delegates from over 120 countries
will take part in the conference.
Themed 'Creating a Better World',
among the conference's agenda include the voting of World Scout
Committee members for the next three years, as well as the voting
for host country for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in 2015 and the
14th World Scout Moot in 2013.
Several working papers and reports
will also be presented during the event such as the 10th World Scout
Youth Forum and a report of scouting achievements.
The next World Scout Conference
