All Invited To Penterama ‘08

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Information Department of the Prime Minister's Office will be holding a multi-variety show in all four districts in conjunction with the 62nd birthday celebrations of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The show is part of the effort to disseminate government information to the public.

Entitled 'Penterama 2008,' the show will serve as a vehicle to educate the public and at the same time encourage the spirit of patriotism and nationalism.

"Comprising of 19 songs, two dance routines, a theatre play, comic sketch, eight MC segments and one quiz, the show will be held in Temburong on July 19, Bandar Seri Begawan on July 23, Tutong on July 25 and in Kuala Belait on July 26," said Pentarama 2008 Coordinator Hj Rahime Hj Anuar.

"The public is invited to watch the show which will be held on a purpose-built stage at celebration venues in all four districts," he added.

The show will see local singers Zul F, Puteri Norizah, Fakhrul Razi, Sri Nazrina, Bombay, Zaem (3AT) and Hani Bahriah entertaining the crowd with songs backed by a group of musicians who call themselves 'Kumpulan Band 3AT.'

Six actors will be involved in a theatre sketch entitled `Nargis Rumahtangga,' while comedienne Hjh Kasum and Kumpulan 69 will quip the audience with funny sketches to deliver community messages.

The I 0-member dance group Freestylez will stage traditional and modem dance routines. They will also accompany the singers in a few songs.

Aside from the Penterama theme song at the opening and closing, and the birthday song `Menjunjung Duli,' other songs to be sung by local artistes include `Oh Dimana (Bombay), Permintaan Hati (Zaem 3.A.T), Ingkar (Sri Nazrina), Lupakanlah (Puteri Norizah), Cinta Merubah Segala (Puteri Norizah- Freestylez Dancers), Ku Tak Suka Lagu ini/ 11 Januari (Zaem 3AT), Ku Terus Begini (Faithful Razi), Sayang-Sayang (Fakhrul Razi-Freestylez Dancers), Matahari (Bombay), Kamu Adalah Mimpi Burukku (Zaem 3AT), Seperti Yang Lain (Sri Nazrina), Dari Mata (Zul F), Mungkinkah Terjadi (Fakhrul Razi/Sri Nazrina), Medly Kompilasi Hits (Bombay), 24 Hours (Zul F/Puteri Norizah) and Cantik (Zul F / Freestylez Dancers).

The highlight of the show will be when three members of audience gets up on stage to answer quizzes and win themselves attractive prizes.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
