NBT Treasure Hunters Crack Secrets
By Lyna Mohamad
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Some 750 participants in 179 Toyota and Lexus
vehicles competed to crack the secrets of the 12th NBT Treasure Hunt
yesterday at the International Convention Centre.
Champions 'Revenge of the Ravishing
4' family representative Hjh Joanna said they had a lot of fun in
the treasure hunt and many opportunities to win prizes. The
activities were challenging, but interesting, she said.
"We also enjoyed the wonderful
buffet lunch, but the best was the after-lunch novelty stage show.
Our stomachs are still aching from all the laughing! This is the
best social event in Brunei Darussalam, by far, “she said.
The first runners-up who walked
away with a holiday package to Hong Kong were team members Steven
and Allen Lai and Bernadette Liew Wei Wei and Krystle Yau. The
second runners-up who won a holiday package to Ho Chi Minh were team
Avanza Avengers.
A Toyota Vios was presented
yesterday to local star Zul F whom NBT has chosen as the Vios
Ambassador. The singer is the first winner of the local talent show
P2F. He made a stage appearance to entertain participants who also
joined the fun-filled games and the lucky draw.
This much anticipated motoring
event of the year, with the theme, 'The Safari Hunt,' offered
challenging activities at many locations around Bandar Seri Begawan
and even off the beaten tracks.
Mr Ninan Chacko, NBT Managing
Director, said participants were reluctant to go home. Delighted
with the increasing support for their treasure hunts over the years,
it was really nice to see such a big turnout today, he said.
It all boils down to our
determination to prepare and present nothing but the best for our
customers, he said, when asked for his secret formula for the
popularity and success of NBT's treasure hunts.
"We simply do not do things by
halves. We have put in a lot of effort, groundwork and teamwork to
achieve today's success, and I am very happy to see all the smiling
faces here today. This tells me that we have done very well today,"
he added.
In addition to the main prizes,
participants also drove home with novelty prizes and more in the
many quizzes and games, and a lucky draw. This made sure that even
those who did not win anything had a chance to put something into
their car boots before going home.
NBT General Sales Manager Hj
Shahrum Haji Kadir said: "This is because we really went out of our
way to ensure that everyone will have fun. After all, at NBT, we
truly value our customers and we will bend backwards to make them
happy." -- Courtesy of Borneo
