Ministry Declares ‘White Rabbit’ Safe

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Health yesterday informed the general public that the sweet product celled 'White Rabbit' produced by China does not contain formaldehyde and is safe for consumption, RTB announced.

The report said, the Ministry of Health has taken precautionary measures by taking samples for analysis at the Department of Scientific Services.

The result of the analysis carried out showed no trace of formaldehyde.

The same results were also recorded from the Singapore Government Official Institution and the Food and Safety Centre of Food and Environment Cleanliness Department in Hong Kong.

The Ministry of Health also informed that importation, distribution and selling of food that can negatively affect health was a crime as stated under Chapter 9 and those found to be guilty can be jailed for five years or fined or both report added.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
