Official Visit By Malaysian Agong

Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of
Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah
Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim
Mazhar yesterday received a courtesy call at the Istana Nurul Iman
by Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, and Raja
Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Nur Zahirah, who are here on a three-day
official visit.
Accompanying the Yang Di-Pertuan
Agong and Raja PermaisuriAgong to the palace were His Royal Highness
Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister
at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri
Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah.
Also present to greet the Malaysian
royalty were HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak
Hjh Zariah, HRH Prince Hj Sufri, Pg Bini Hjh Faizah, HRH Prince
'Abdul 'Azim, HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik, HRH Prince 'Abdul Mateen, HRH
Princess Hjh Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, HRH Princess Hjh Majeedah
Nuurul Bulqiah, HRH Princess Hjh Hafizah Sururul Bulgiah, HRH
Princess Hjh Masna and HRH Princess Hjh Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam.
The visiting royalty from Malaysia
leads a 69member delegation that includes the Yang DiPertuan Agong's
brother YAM Seri Panglima Raja Mej Tengku Baderulzaman Ibni Al-Marhum
Sultan MahmudAl-Muktafi Billah Shah and spouse Puan Seri Wan Hibatul
Hidayah Wan Ismail and Home Minister Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad,
who is also Minister-In-Attendance, as well as senior officials from
Istana Negara, the Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister's
Department.
The visiting royalty received a
royal guard of honour on arrival at the Istana Nurul Iman, as the
national anthems of both Brunei and Malaysia were played with a
firing of 21 canons.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam then invited Yang Di
Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal
Abidin to inspect the royal guard of honour comprising 110 RBAF
personnel. The visiting royalties were later introduced by the Grand
Chamberlain YAM Pg PenggawaLailaBentaralstiadatDirajaDalam Istana Pg
Hj Alauddin to other royal family members and dignitaries. The
visiting royalties were then led to the palace's Ceradi, Laila
Kenchana for a courtesy call.
The visiting royalties were bid
farewell by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Saleha and HRH Pg
Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar, as well as other members of the royal family.
The visit to further enhance bilateral ties between the two
countries is their second state visit to a foreign country after
Indonesia since their installation as king and queen in May.
This is also the first visit for
Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, and Raja
Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku NurZahirah to Brunei. Sultan Mizan, 44, is
the second youngest Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. -- Courtesy of Borneo
