Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Taman Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
near the capital is making last minute preparations to greet the
arrival of His Majesty and the royal' entourage for the Majlis Bersama
Rakyat this Sunday.
The Brunei-Muara District will be
organising various performances including a nostalgic return to the
water village during the1920s to 1950s.
Models of houses in the water village
of the past are currently standing majestically on the Sungai Kedayan
near the celebration site, where people will be showcasing the
lifestyle of the water village residents back in the old days. A
variety of boats will also be making a nostalgic return to the waters
of Sungai Kedayan.
Meanwhile, there will also be an
exhibition and sale of local products at the venue from July 17 to 31;
it is being sponsored and participated by about 124 establishments.
Organisers
are also lining up various events for the auspicious day.
His Majesty's visit will provide an
opportunity for the people to get closer to their ruler. Citizens and
residents of BruneiMuara District are welcome to attend the event this
Sunday.
Regardless of the nature and type of
performances, the concept and aim of the get-together event between
His Majesty and his subjects remain the same for all districts; to
