65 Students Honoured In Religious Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sixty-Five Pengiran Anak Puteri Masna Religious School students were honoured in a colourful Khatam al-Quran ceremony yesterday.

The 28 male and 37 female students attend religious studies at the school located in Temasek.

Gracing the ceremony as guest of honour was Religious Studies Enforcer, Head of Administrative Section, Islamic Studies Department, Awg Tarip bin Hj Matussin.

The day commenced with the customary communal recital of the Surah al-Farihah, which was led by the guest of honour.

The recital of the Quran verses by students was the highlight of the day. A Khatam al-Quran was read by Md Aminur Rashid bin Hj Yusli.

Later, the guest of honour sprinkled `Bunga Rampai' on participants of the Khatam al-Quran ceremony. The day also saw presentations such as Takhtim and Dikir. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
