318 Students Learn-About Drug Misuse

Bandar Seri Begawan - A forum entitled `Misuse of Drugs 2005' was yesterday held at the Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College (MTSSR), serving as the last programme of a -four-day orientation week for 318 new students. The educational forum was an eye-opener to the students of the 42°d intake (July 2005 session).

Also present at the talks were Acting Principal Cikgu Pg Suhaimi bin Pg Hj Bakar and chairman of the ceremony Cikgu Hj Abdul Wahab bin Mokti.

Several representatives from government agencies - including the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Royal Brunei Police - covered the topic from various aspects.

On hand to deliver the forum were Hj Noor Husseini Hj Mohd Hussein from the Counselling and Career Guidance Division, Ministry of Education; Dr Norol Ehsan bte Hj Abd Hamid from the Promotion and Health Education Division, Ministry of Health; Mohd Rafair Hj Hamrah from Narcotics Control Bureau; and Royal Brunei Police PRO Sarjan Major Hj Awg Besar bin Hj Mahali, among others. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
